Although today is International Talk Like A Pirate Day and although I consider a sense of humour to be a key ingredient in workplace morale, if you do have an interview today, it might be best not to talk like a pirate during the interview*.
Interviewer: So tell me why you want this job…
You: Arrr, Cap’n! I found m’self marooned b’me erstwhile shipmates and me career heading straight fer Davy Jones’s Locker! But shiver me timbers if I didn’t see sail ho and here I am. I’m a salty sea dog and no doubt! Y’ won’t regret takin’ me on.
Interviewer: I see. Well, fair winds, me hearty. We’ll be in touch.
