In Step 3 we continued our workflow by exploring the path where the leave request also requires the approval of the HR Department. Now we shall investigate the exception paths when the leave request is rejected.
In this case, when the Requestor reviews the rejected leave request, he can choose to re-submit it or accept the rejection.
We add another Gateway and a terminator to complete those paths. We also add notes for any status changes.
In the diagram below, anything I have added in Step 4 appears in red.
In the Step 5, we shall take into account an SLA that escalates the work to the HR Department.
